To get married in Croatia, you will likely need to settle for a civil ceremony because only Roman Catholic weddings are performed in the country.  You will need to complete an application to wed at the registry office in the area where you intend to marry, which must be done no less than 30-45 days prior to your intended marriage date.  You will also need to send all documentation at the same time.  Documents include copies of birth certificate, birth certificates, a valid passports, a certificate of custom and law which will be issued by the your country’s embassy in Croatia, certificate of non-impediment.  You will also need the names of both witnesses to your ceremony and copies of their passports must also be forwarded.  The Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Zagreb will need to certify both your custom and law and non-impediment certificates.
