When to Go:  September to November are the wettest months.  June to November is hurricane season and should be avoided.  February to March are the driest months with temperatures consistent at around 29 Celsius.

Getting Married in the British Virgin Islands

British Virgin Islands

To wed in the British Virgin Islands, you can do so on or after your third day on the island.  You will need valid passports and proof of identity and arrival, which you will present to the Attorney General’s Office in Tortola.   Two witnesses must be present when you sign the application form and during your wedding ceremony.  If you are in BVI for three days, you can apply for a Special License which costs $111 and is payable in BVI postage stamps.  If you are in BVI for 15 days or more, then you can apply for an Ordinary License that will cost $50 in postage stamps.  With your application form, you’ll then need to head to the Registrar General’s office, to book your wedding date.  If your wedding ceremony is to be held at the office there is an additional charge of $35.  If elsewhere, the charge is $100.  To gather more information, please click HERE.
