Marriage Requirements


For a couple to wed in Bali, they must declare their religion.  Couples who opt for a religious ceremony will need to have the ceremony in a church or temple and for it to be legally binding, they must register with the civil registry.  Couples will need to provide a Notice of Intention to marry to the Civil Registry along with a letter of non-impediment which they can obtain from the consular of their country in Bali.  Documents that you will need to provide include original and photocopies of the Certificate of Marriage, birth certificates, passports, four photos of you and your spouse to be side by side, and a letter of non-impediment.  You will also be required to have two witnesses.  To gather more information, please click HERE.
