When to Go:  Cambodia is a country that is warm and hot year round.  November to February is slightly cooler and dry and is considered to be the best time to honeymoon to Cambodia.  June through August is hot and wet and September to early November is wet and cooler.

Getting Married in Cambodia

A destination wedding in Cambodia is a destination that is one of South East Asia’s smallest countries, but is superlative in stature.  Cambodia is filled with magnificent scenery rich culture and fascinating history.  The country is one with fabulous beaches, incredible historical sites, and warm welcoming people.  From amazing temples to majestic mountains to fabulous churches there is plenty of options for your wedding ceremony.

Marriage Requirements


To wed in Cambodia both you and your spouse to be will need to have resided in the country for 21 consecutive days prior to submitting for an application to get married.  You will also need to visit Phnom Penh to fill out and affidavit which you can obtain in at your country’s embassy.  The Notice of Marriage will then need to be posted on the consular notice board at the embassy and must remain on the board for 21 days prior to a certificate of non-impediment is released.  You will then need to visit Phnom Penh to obtain marriage approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  The Town Hall where you will wed will then be notified, and asked to release a Marriage Certificate once the application is considered.  You will need valid 10 year passports and photocopies showing their Cambodian visa, medical certificate of non-impediment, details of occupation and monthly pay.   If either of you is widowed or divorced, you must also provide relevant documentation.  To gather more information, please click HERE.
