Getting Married in Malta

Marriage Requirements


To get married in Malta, the process is quite simple.  A publication of wedding banns must be requested through the Registry Office in Valletta no less than six weeks before your wedding date, and no more than three months before your wedding date.  Document you bot will need include a certificate of no-impediment, completed freedom to marry for RZ2, full birth certificates, and copies of your passports.  The Registry Office will issue your License to marry 10 days before your wedding date and can be collected once you arrive to Malta.  After your ceremony has been conducted, you will then be given your Marriage Certificate.  To gather more information, please click HERE.
