Marriage Requirements


Most couples getting married in Montenegro choose to have both a civil wedding and a religious wedding.  The easiest option is a civil ceremony in your own country and then a religious ceremony in Montenegro.  If you choose to have both, you will need valid passports, full birth certificates, a certificate of non-impediment and a certificate that both parties are free to marry.  You will need to fill an intention to marry no less than 40 days prior to your intended marriage date to the civil registry in Montenegro.  Once all paperwork is submitted you can wed at the civil registry or at an alternative venue.  To gather more information, click HERE.
