Getting Married in the Seychelles

Marriage Requirements


For a marriage to be legally binding in Seychelles couples need to have a civil ceremony prior to their religious ceremony.  To do so, they will need to apply to the Civil Status Office no less than a couple of months prior to the intended marriage date.  Photocopies of your documents will also need to be sent.  Documents include the first two pages of the couple’s passports, birth certificates and a letter of non-impediment.  If either party is widowed or divorced, relevant documents will also be needed.  Couples need to be in Seychelles no less than two days prior to their wedding date.  To gather more information, please click HERE.
